What is your answer?We are seriously contemplating turning our cable off which is essentially equal to having no TV. It is a drastic move and there are pros and cons either way. With TV I can pay $50 - $100 per month in cable fees. I can watch American Idol, Lost, So You Think You Can Dance, Heroes, Desperate Housewives and all my other favorite shows. If I opt for NO TV then I might read, take a relaxing bath, have a conversation with my hubby, complete a project or even take the time to pray and meditate. The options looks similar when I list the pro and cons for the kids. They can be zombies in front of the TV or they can play imaginative games or go outside and be active. Putting this in writing has just made the decision much easier! I’m taking the leap and calling the cable company first thing tomorrow! |
